The first Polish football series presents the collaboration with EA Sports launching the FIFA league – Ekstraksala Games
Ekstraklasa, already protagonist of the esports world since 2017 with the EKSTRAKSALA CUP (smaller tournament with the best Polish FIFA players), is preparing to jump in quality in the electronic games sector, presenting the global series EA SPORTS FIFA 19, national event that will assign key points to players to qualify for the eWorld FIFA Cup.
This championship will be part of the EA Sports Global Series and will award qualifying points to the global game championship, the FIFA eWorld Cup.
Ekstraksala Games will be held in a split-platform format, as seen in other global series competitions, with teams of two players on PS4 and two players on Xbox One. The qualifying phase in March will see the participation of 32 individual online tournaments, from which 16 teams will advance to the championship stage. The best eight clubs in the league will then move to the playoffs, which will end on May 26 with a Grand Finals event, which will be broadcast live on the Polsat Games television channel. Polsat Games will also host air league matches.
EA has managed to collaborate with a number of major soccer leagues as it expands its global series. In recent months, these partners include the English Premier League, the Danish SuperLiga and Swedish Allsvenskan. Other partners include ELEAGUE in North America and Deutsche Telekom in Germany.
