The American University “Full Sail University” is planning, next month, the opening of a $ 6 million eSports Arena, called The Fortress
It will be the largest eSports arena on a university campus in the United States, with the capacity to host 500 people and 100 players at one time. Construction began in June 2018, with the Arena’s formal announcement made in October. In that announcement, Full Sail claimed that they wanted to make it not only the center for their eSports “Collegiali, Armada” team, but also for live-streaming and non-eSports events like the Racing drone. The goal of Full Sail is to build an entire ecosystem that supports and contributes to the development of eSports from scratch.
