The Chinese export organization Invictus Gaming (IG) has signed a partnership agreement with the Shanghai Pudong Development Bank (SPD)
As part of the partnership, SPD Bank has issued an exclusive credit card with IG mark, which was made available to the public in May.
Cardholders will receive an exclusive “IG 2018 League of Legends World Victory Victory” copper coin for a limited period.
In addition, as part of a promotional contest, 10 cardholders randomly chosen will be charged by the card issuer.
The card was promoted through a social media campaign, published on the official IG Weibo, and includes IG’s League of Legends players.
This is not the first collaboration between a Chinese bank and an export organization in the region.
On March 4, Newbee signed a partnership with Shanghai Bank to create an exclusive debit card, officially released to the public on May 6th.
SPD Bank has taken several steps within the sports industry. In November 2018, SPD Bank collaborated with the National Sports Esports Tournament (NEST) in China. SPD Bank was also one of the main sponsors of Tencent’s most important Honor of Kings tournament – the 2018 King Pro League. SPD Bank did not renew its sponsorship with KPL for 2019.
