French football club Olympique Lyonnais has partnered with technology company LDLC Group, the parent company of Team LDLC.
Effective immediately, Team LDLC will rebrand to LDLC OL to coincide with the new alliance.
The organization will relocate its operations to Lyon, France during the first quarter of the year, inhabiting a new esports facility in the city in partnership with the Tony Parker Adéquat Academy.
According to a release, the partnership claims to exhibit an “unprecedented strategic commitment for French esports” in which the OL Groupe will bring forth “its commercial know-how for the development of partnerships and team performance.”
Through this initiative, the pair will seek to develop the esports ecosystem in the greater Lyonnaise region with an emphasis on youth, associations, companies, and communities to attract both native and international talent.
