Indian internet service provider ACT Fibernet has partnered with The Esports Club (TEC) to produce an online Counter-Strike: Global Offensive tournament.

The tournament is taking place over April 3rd-12th, with players competing one-on-one online daily.

ACT Fibernet is broadcasting the final 16 matches of each day on its social media channels. The daily prize pool of the tournament is INR 6000 (£63) and is divided among the top three winners; the top 10 participants will receive gaming packs from the service provider.

ACT Fibernet has highlighted its ‘Advantage Gaming’ as an important initiative. In keeping with its esports and gaming efforts, the company has partnered with Wargaming to launch the World of Warships title in India and sponsored TEC’s Rainbow Six Siege league just last month.

Ravi Karthik, Head of Marketing, Customer Experience, New products & Innovation at ACT Fibernet, commented on the event in a release: “We see a huge interest and traction amongst our customers for online gaming. ACT Fibernet is the leading ISP for gaming, providing high speeds, low latency and negligible packet losses. We have been consistently topping the Steam charts for gaming traffic in India, which is a testament to customers recognizing ACT as the preferred network for gaming.

“Through this unique initiative as part of ‘Advantage Gaming’, we aim to connect with gamers on our platform and provide them an opportunity to showcase their skills. This is one of many initiatives planned for gamers on our network.”
