South Korean organisation T1 Entertainment & Sports has established a partnership with South Korean electronics conglomerate Samsung.
The partnership will see all teams based at T1’s headquarters in Seoul use Samsung’s latest curved monitors.
The deal will also see a range of promotional activities take place between Samsung and T1’s League of Legends team, featuring a meet-and-greet which will be hosted at an unspecified date. The event will enable fans to view the conglomerate’s new range of monitors.
Hyesung Ha, Senior Vice President of Visual Display Business at Samsung, discussed the partnership in a release: “We are proud to partner with T1, the leader in professional esports, helping them in their continued success and global growth as official display partner. Our line-up of Odyssey monitors provides the latest in gaming monitor technology with lightning-fast speed, comfortable curvature and a sleek design, offering professional esports gamers the competitive edge they need to make every split second count.”
Samsung joins the likes of Twitch, Nike, Secretlab, Logitech G, and German car manufacturer BMW on T1’s roster of partners. The organisation currently fields teams players in Hearthstone, League of Legends, VALORANT, Fortnite, Apex Legends, Overwatch, and FIFA Online 4.
Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok, Part-owner of T1 and professional League of Legends player, added: “I am excited for Samsung to sponsor T1, providing our teams with best-in-class monitors. I look forward to practicing on the new Odyssey model once we move into our new T1 HQ.”
