Juventus and Argentine’s player Paulo Dybala will also be among the international football and music superstars who will compete in a global FIFA 20 tournament as part of the largest e-sports charity event ever organized: Gamers Without Borders.
These stars will meet from today, Friday 5 June to Sunday 7 June for charity. There will be a prize pool of $ 100,000 per game that will be donated to international organizations for relief activities related to Covid-19.
Paulo Dybala will be the protagonist of the inaugural match scheduled today at 7.45 pm against the star of the English national team and Tottenham, Dele Alli.
Among the other celebrities involved in the initiative, there will be João Félix (Atletico Madrid) who will be engaged in a Portuguese derby on Sunday at 18.45 – against former Milan striker Andre Silva and member of the One Direction band Liam Payne.
Gamers Without Borders brought together over 120,000 players from 72 countries in just four weeks, with appointments dedicated to the most popular eSport titles on the market. Numbers that made it the biggest e-sport charity event of all time.
Organized by SAFEIS (Saudi Federation for Electronic and Intellectual Sports), the initiative has already allowed the donation of 8.5 million dollars to international entities engaged in the fight against Covid-19.
The most famous institutions include GAVI, UNICEF, Direct Relief, International Medical Corps, King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSRELIEF), Norwegian Refugee Council, International Telecommunications Union.
